Dee’s formal education in Early Childhood Development and Education are from St Joseph’s College of Early Childhood Education (now known as the Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education), as well as Child Developments and Child Psychology from Mount St. Vincent and Dalhousie Universities. She has worked in the field with all age groups since 1980. She is also a founding partner with the John Maxwell Group of Leaders and is a certified teacher, trainer, speaker and coach on leadership with the John Maxwell Team. Her passion is working with families and children to develop strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills that will prepare children for a bright and successful future. She has taught parenting workshops and continuing education credits for Early Childhood Educators through Creative Parenting and now teaches, trains, mentors and coaches’ parents, childcare providers and educators through Creating Little Leaders. Dee believes in the importance of early childhood education and that the foundations of learning for young children starts in the early years. She enjoys working with all children and staff daily, as building relationships is key in supporting growth and development of every child, through quality programming. She is excited to continue her adventure with her Willowbrae family, surrounded by an amazing team and all the wonderful children and families in Timberlea.
